9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. NYPD Transit Officer Chanda D. Barnes died on April 25, 2021 of World Trade Center-related illness at the age of 55.
Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Brownsville.
Her funeral will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Brownsville.
