9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake & Funeral for NYPD Detective Joseph L. Pidoto, Queens Robbery Squad

On October 26, 2018, NYPD Detective Joseph Pidoto died of World Trade Center-related liver cancer. He was 51.
After serving at the site, Det. Pidoto was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. He leaves a widow, Debbie, and two children, Brianna Pidoto and NYPD Officer Joseph Nicholas Pidoto.
A week before he died, he insisted on being released from the hospital to attend his son’s wedding.
His wake and funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Stony Brook Christian Assembly in East Setauket, NY. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 7:00pm with the service from 7:00pm until 8:00pm.
