9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for Thomas J. Woodford, Sr., Local 40 and DSNY

Thomas J. Woodford, Sr. has died at the age of 85. As a member of Local 40, his ironworking skills helped build the World Trade Center. Years later, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, his welding skills assisted the Department of Sanitation during the search through the World Trade Center rubble at Fresh Kills Landfill.
His wake will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home on Staten Island.
The funeral will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Holy Family Church on Staten Island. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
