9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for Retired NYPD Lieutenant James D. Russell

Retired NYPD Lieutenant James D. Russell lost his battle to World Trade Center-related cancer on October 16, 2017 at the age of 53.
After a career in Brooklyn Narcotics, Lt. Russell worked for the District Attorney’s office after his NYPD career.
His wake will be held at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home in Babylon, NY on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm and on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm and from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.
His funeral Mass will be said on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:15am at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, NY.
Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society in Jimmy’s name would be appreciated.
