9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for retired NYPD Detective Scott Curran

Retired NYPD Detective Scott Christopher Curran, 50, died of World Trade Center-related illness on September 15, 2021.
He joined the NYPD in 1993 had a twenty-year career, working in the Brooklyn Housing Unit before attaining his Detective’s shield. He also worked in the Narcotics and Organized Crime units. Detective Curran worked at the World Trade Center site after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and at the Fresh Kills Landfill during the recovery process.
His wake will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Staten Island’s Harmon Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.
Detective Curran’s funeral Mass will take place at 10:45am on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church in Staten Island.
