9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for retired NYPD Detective Eugene Madden

Retired New York Police Department Detective Eugene Francis Madden died of World Trade Center-related cancer on February 6, 2018 in Myrtle Beach, where he retired. He was 51 years old.
Detective Madden was a highly decorated investigator who spent more than 21 years on the NYPD. He spent many months at the Staten Island Landfill, searching for remains and evidence after the terrorist attacks of 2001.
As of 2017 there were 348 people in South Carolina who are enrolled in the World Trade Center Health Program.
After a February 10, 2018 service in South Carolina, a visitation in New York will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 1:00pm until 3:30pm and from 6:00pm until 8:30pm at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home.
A church service will be held for Detective Madden at 10:00am on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Valley Stream.
