9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired FDNY Firefighter John R. Elges, formerly with L-134, has died of World Trade Center-related illness.
His wake will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and from 7:00pm-10:00pm, at the Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home in Island Park.
His funeral will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:30am at St. Ignatius Martyr Church in Long Beach.
