9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for retired FF Brian Ahr, 49, FDNY L-166

Retired Firefighter Brian Ahr, 49, has died of World Trade Center illness. He had a 17-year career with the FDNY, responding to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Rockaway plane crash in November 2001. He worked for Brooklyn’s Ladder 166. He leaves his wife, three children and many siblings.
His wake will be held on Thursday, October, 22, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Harmon Funeral Home.
His funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00am at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Firefighter Ahr will be buried at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
