Wake for Retired FDNY Captain John Moschella

Retired FDNY Captain John Moschella, the Captain of the BatCave, E-26, has died of World Trade Center-related cancer.
A 28-year veteran of the FDNY, he began his career as a firefighter in E-257/L-170 in Canarsie, he was lieutenant of E-287 in Elmhurst, and retired earlier this year as captain of E-26 in Hell’s Kitchen.
His wake will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 7:00pm-9:00pm and on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home in Farmingdale.
His funeral Mass will take place at Saint Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Farmingdale on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00am.
He will be buried at Farmingdale’s St. Charles’ Cemetery.
