9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for retired Detective Thomas Santoro, NYPD

Thomas Santoro, 53, a retired counterterrorism detective with the NYPD, has died of World Trade Center-related illness. He leaves a widow and two teenaged sons.
Detective Santoro began his NYPD career in 1988 and ended it in 2008, retiring from the Counterterrorism Division.
His wake will be held at the Scarpaci Funeral Home in Staten Island on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
His funeral Mass will take place at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Staten Island at 9:30am on Friday, July 26, 2019.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Pleasant Plains.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the DEA Widow and Children’s Fund, the FealGood Foundation, or any other 9/11 or cancer-related charity in his honor.
