9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Wake for Lt. (Ret.) Robert J. O’Rourke, FDNY

FDNY Lt. (ret.) Robert J. “Bob” O’Rourke died on December 21, 2014 of site-related esophageal cancer. Though he had retired from the job in 1999, Bob came back to work during the recovery effort at the World Trade Center. He had been a fireman in Ladder 58 and a lieutenant with Ladder 162.
His wake will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the South Chapel of Massapequa Funeral Home.
His funeral will take place at 9:30am on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. Martin of Tours Church in Amityville.
Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
