9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for John J. Beirne, DSNY

John J. Beirne died on August 25, 2018 at the age of 70.
John Beirne worked during the recovery efforts with the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He was also a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army.
His wake will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the Colonial Funeral Home in Brick, NJ.
A memorial prayer service will be held for John on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:00am at the funeral home, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to Children’s International P.O. Box 219357, Kansas City, MO 64121.
