Retired FDNY Firefighter Eugene V. Bucalo died of World Trade Center-related multiple myeloma on October 21, 2019.Though retired on September 11, 2001, after 37 years on the job, he worked the pile with his comrades.
A wake in his honor will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the South Chapel of the Massapequa Funeral Home.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Massapequa.
Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
