9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for Detective Michael T. Hanson, NYPD ESU (retired)

Detective Michael T. Hanson, NYPD ESU (retired) died at the age of 60 on October 19, 2018 of a World Trade Center-related neurological disorder.
During his nearly 22 years in the NYPD, Mike helped to develop New York’s FEMA Search & Rescue team, deployed to the Oklahoma City bombing, taught EMTs, and responded to the 1993 and 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home in Monroe, NY.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills, NY.
Cremation will be held at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
Memorial donations may be made for Mike to the New York City PBA Widow & Children’s Fund, 125 Broad Street, 11th floor, New York, NY 10004.
