Wake for retired FDNY Firefighter Thomas G. Oelkers, Ladder 44

Retired FDNY Firefighter Thomas G. Oelkers of Ladder 44, died of World Trade Center-related illness on May 16, 2021.
FF Oelkers was a firefighter for 19 years after serving 4 years with the NYPD. His father is retired FF Thomas M. Oelkers of E-238.
His wake will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm; and then again on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home in Floral Park, NY.
His funeral Mass will be said at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Floral Park at 10:45am on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
A private burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of FF Thomas G. Oelkers to Rett Syndrome Research Trust.
