9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Veterans Day Parade — with three World Trade Center recovery worker Grand Marshals

The annual Veterans Day Parade will have three Grand Marshals this year — Port Authority Acting COO Stephanie Dawson, an Army National Guard colonel who commanded troops at the World Trade Center site and served in both Kuwait and Iraq; FDNY Battalion Chief Joseph Duggan, who responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center and also served with the Army Reserve in Iraq; and NYPD Detective Nelson Vergara, who worked for months with the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after the attacks and then served with the Marine Corps in Iraq.

The opening ceremony will be held in in Madison Square Park, beginning at 10:00am. The ceremony ends with a wreath- laying at the Eternal Light Monument at 11:00am (the fabled 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month).
Some seating will be available at the opening ceremony, with preference given to our disabled and elderly veterans.
The parade will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, beginning at 11:15am (when the opening ceremony concludes) and ending at about 3:30pm.
