9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Training for Tribute in Light bird monitoring

Every year volunteers join NYC Audubon to monitor the Tribute in Light memorial for migratory birds that may get disoriented by the light beams.
Volunteers take two-hour shifts (there are at least 2 people per shift) from 8:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 to 6:00am on Monday, September 12, 2016.
An orientation for this year’s Tribute in Light monitoring will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the National Audubon office in Chelsea.
