9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Trauma relief workshop for Sandy victims

FreeAwaken NYC is offering victims of Hurricane Sandy $1.00, 60-minute, trauma relief meditation/hypnosis sessions. The next one will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
Initial workshops will take place in the Lower Manhattan’s Financial District once a month. If there is demand in other areas or for other days, the program will grow.
What to expect from the workshop:
– Group format with room for up to 65 attendees
– Brief 5 minute intro on how and why hypnosis and group meditation works rapidly to relieve the body and mind of trauma
– A 50-minute group relaxation and trauma-relief session
– 5 minutes for announcements (volunteer opportunities, disaster relief updates, etc).
