9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. At 2:00pm on Friday, April 16, 2021, a street in Islip Terrace, NY will be renamed for Port Authority Police Department Sgt. Lawrence Guarnieri.
East Farmingdale Street in Islip Terrace at Connetquot Avenue will be renamed for Sgt. Guarnieri, who died on November 4, 2014 of World Trade Center-related cancer.
