9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Street Renaming Ceremony for NYPD Detective and Tech. Sgt. U.S. Air Force EOW Joseph Lemm

On Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00pm there will be a street renaming ceremony in the Bronx in honor of NYPD Det. Joseph G. Lemm.

Detective Lemm was killed with five other servicemen by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan on December 21, 2015, while serving as a Tech. Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was 45, a 15-year veteran of the NYPD, and had served two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. His nickname was “Superman”.

After the ceremony, a BBQ and clambake with live music by the military band Distinct Grace will be held at the Ampere Fishing & Yacht Club. There will be a $25.00 per-adult cover charge for the party. Children attend the party at no charge.
