9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Shawn Nassaney Run/Walk – Smithfield, RI

The annual Shawn Nassaney Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
This year’s race will start at 9:00am with the children’s run (1 loop) following the adult run at 9:45am. The collegiate races follow the children’s race. After the race, a breakfast of eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice will be provided.
Registration costs are $30.00/adult or $25.00/student for the Nassaney Memorial Run; $10.00 for the children’s race; or $150.00 per collegiate team. Teams of five or more are encouraged to participate. The top five runners’ times will determine the team score. Lowest team score determines the winners.

Shawn Nassaney and his girlfriend, Lynn Goodchild were headed to Hawaii on vacation on September 11, 2001. Their flight was United Flight 175, which was hijacked by terrorists and flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
