9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race/Walk

The 15th annual Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race/Walk will take place at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 9:00am. The adult race is a 5-K.
A children’s run will follow the run for adults at 9:45am.
There will be a post-race breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, toast and juice for all participants.

Shawn M. Nassaney, 25, was travelling to Hawaii with his girlfriend Lynn Goodchild, when terrorists hijacked the plane and flew it into the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Shawn was a talented, hard-working runner and had risen in his work with American Power Conversion. The foundation in his name gives scholarships to his alma maters, Bryant College and St. Raphael’s Academy in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
