9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Hold the Door for Others 5-K in Memory of Ron Fazio – Valley Cottage, NY

On Saturday, September 12, 2015, Hold the Door for Others will hold their annual 5-K run in Rockland Lake State Park at 10:00am. Onsite registration starts at 9:00am, but advance registration is encouraged.
Hold the Door for Others honors Ron Fazio, who gave his life holding the door for his colleagues at Aon high in Tower 2 of the World Trade Center. Many of Ron’s colleagues escaped due to his courage and selflessness. Ron did not escape.
Every fall, Hold the Door for Others hosts Hold the Door Day, an event dedicated to empowering people to grow through loss or adversity.

The registration closing date will be Saturday, September 12, 2015. Registering on the day of the run will cost $35.00 per adult. Participants aged 12 and under may run for free, though donations are appreciated. Proceeds of the Hold the Door 5-K will support this year’s Hold the Door Day.
Participants are encouraged (but not required) to dedicate their run or walk to someone special.
