9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Run to VICTOR-Y kids’ run in honor of Lt. Vic Navarra

As part of Staten Island’s Bill Welsh “Run/Walk/Crawl” 5-K Run, there will be a children’s Run to VICTOR-Y quarter-mile run in honor of Vic Navarra on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9:00am in Clove Lakes Park.
The Run to VICTOR-Y is free to all children 10 and under. All participants will receive a Vic Navarra medal.
Vic Navarra was a lieutenant in the FDNY who worked the recovery effort after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He died in 2007, after a difficult struggle with site-related sinus cancer. He was 55.
Navarra was the New York City Marathon start coordinator for many years and was instrumental in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run as well.
The race committee is still accepting sponsorships.
