9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Road to 48 Firehouse Chili Cook-Off

CBS RADIO New York will present The Road to 48 Firehouse Cook-Off contest to find out which firehouse in the tri-state area makes the best chili.

The deadline is Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10:00am. Twelve firehouses will be randomly selected to be in the cook-off with each qualifying firehouse getting a $500 donation to the charity of their choice.
Four firehouses from Long Island, the Hudson Valley area, and Fairfield County will compete in Levittown on December 8, 2013.
Four New Jersey firehouses will compete in Paramus on December 15, 2013.
Four firehouses from New York City will compete in Long Island City on January 5, 2014.
CBS Radio will judge the chilis and pick one finalist at each cook-off. Firehouse finalists must compete in a cook-off on January 12, 2014, and the firehouse with the chili judged to be the best will win access for 14 firefighters to a suite at Yankee Stadium during the 2014 season – a game chosen by CBS Radio valued at approximately $8,000.
This contest is open to official fire department personnel who are U.S. residents, aged 21 and over at a firehouse in the New York Arbitron metro. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
