“Top of the World” – photos of World Trade Center rebuilding

November 12, 2013 @ 12:00 pm - February 28, 2014 @ 6:00 pm

The Shirley Fiterman Art Center at Borough of Manhattan Community College in Lower Manhattan is hosting Top of the World, an exhibit on the rebuilding of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks.

The exhibit opened on November 12, 2013 (coinciding with the opening of 4 WTC) and is ongoing.

Top of the World consists of photographs and works by more than a dozen artists that document the rebuilding efforts. Photos were taken at the site, many from inside the buildings, and at other locations where materials used in the rebuilding were created. Spectacular  aerial pictures are also included in the exhibit.

Exhibitors include Michael Bowles, Michael Calcagno, Kelsy Chauvinas, Fred Conrad, Carl Glassman, Ben Jarosch, Tim Hetherington, Chris Hondros, Noel Jefferson, Erika Koop, Elinor Milchan, Spencer Platt, Vicky Roy, Tim Schenck, David Sunverg, Nicole Tung, and Joe Woolhead.

Top of the World is open to the public from noon to 6:00pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Shirley Fiterman Art Center in BMCC’s Fiterman Hall.
