Ride Like Vinny – Ride the Cyclone to benefit Answer the Call

June 1, 2017 @ 8:00 am - July 3, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

On a beautiful late summer weekend, FDNY Captain Vincent Giammona and his wife took their daughters to Coney Island for the day. On the way home, Vinny turned back and saw the Cyclone roller coaster and turned around. The roller coaster was closed, but Vinny found a worker and explained that he’d be turning 40 in a few days and asked for a ride. He got a private ride in the front car, and rode smiling while his wife and daughters cheered.

On his 40th birthday, September 11, 2001, Vinny was killed in the line of duty while responding to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

Ride Like Vinny tickets are now available to benefit Answer the Call, the New York Police and Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund,  a charity that helps the families of those NYC police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty.

Each $12.00 Ride Like Vinny ticket is good for one admission on the Coney Island Cyclone and can be used any day before November 1, 2017. Please buy your tickets by July 3, 2017. Purchase tickets here.
