9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The New York State Fraternal Order of Police will honor 75 NY State law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in 2017 at 11:00am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at NYSFOP Headquarters in Hicksville, NY.
Six officers died in the line of duty in 2017, 53 officers have died of World Trade Center-related illnesses, and sixteen deaths of officers from past years have been newly discovered.
