9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Michael Michelini 5-K Race to fight blood cancers

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 1:00pm, come run to defeat blood cancers, which are the most common cancers suffered from by recovery workers who worked at the World Trade Center.
The run will begin at Islip Town Hall, at the corner of South Bay Avenue and Montauk Highway. Runners will proceed to Islip Town Beach, then back to the Islip Town Hall area. The course is straight and flat.
Adults pay $30.00 by pre-registration or $40.00 on the day of the race. Children aged 16 and under pay $15.00 in advance or $25.00 on race day. All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. To register in advance, click here.
Race registration and check-in will be held from 11:00am until 12:30pm on race day in front of Islip Town Hall.
Arrive early and enjoy the Islip Fire Department Street Fair, as well as live music before the race. After the race, there will be more music, refreshments and awards.
