9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Mets to salute local Trooper Michael Anson, who died after working at 9/11 site

Michael J. Anson, 53, a New York State Police trooper and father of three who died this January from World Trade Center-related cancer will be honored by the New York Mets at their game against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, May 3, 2018. The game begins at 1:10pm.

Relatives and friends of Trooper Anson have been invited to participate in a pre-game ceremony.

According to the New York State Police, Trooper Anson is the sixth NYS trooper to die from an illness related to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
