9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Matt’s Run, Honoring FDNY Lt. Gordon “Matt” Ambelas

Engine 161/Ladder 81 & Engine 211/Ladder 119 will host Matt’s Run, a 5-K run, on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 10:00am in Staten Island’s Clove Lakes Park. The race will begin in the park in front of the Old Stone House on Clove Road.
Matt’s Run honors the memory of FDNY Lt. Gordon “Matt” Ambelas, who died in the line of duty on July 5, 2014.
Matt’s Run is the first leg of the FF James Halverson Award trio of races. The FF James Halverson Award will be presented to the top FDNY finisher based on combined times from Matt’s Race, the Captain Marty Egan Run and the Celic Run.
The fee to run for an adult is $20.00 if purchased in advance; $25.00 on race day. Children age 14 and under pay $15.00 in advance; $20.00 on race day. To register, please click here. http://www.completerace.com/site/event/matts-race/
You can pick up your bib before the race at The Local (formerly the Pepper Jack Grill) on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.
A post-race party will be held at the Marine Corps League. There will be a $10.00 post-race party fee for non-runners.
