9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Mass for first responders – NY, NY

On Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10:30am, the Church of St. Francis of Assisi will host an annual Mass for firefighters, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement officers. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Thomas Colucci, a retired captain of the Fire Department of New York who responded to the World Trade Center on 9/11, arriving just as the North Tower collapsed. Father Colucci was ordained to the priesthood in 2016 and is believed to be the first firefighter to become a priest in the Archdiocese of New York.
The Mass will be held in the upper church.
