9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Johnny Mac Foundation’s Wish Gala

The Johnny Mac Foundation’s 14th annual Wish Gala will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, beginning at 7:00pm at Smithtown Landing Country Club.

The evening includes cocktails, bar, dancing, raffles, and more. This year’s honorees are Suffolk County Police Detective Tracey Barry and retired MTA Police Detective Jamie Atkinson.

FDNY Firefighter John McNamara was only 44 when he died of World Trade Center-related colon cancer in 2009. Despite his illness John co-founded the New York City Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation and advocated in Washington and New York for the passage of theJames Zadroga Health and Compensation Act.

His wife Jennifer and son Jack started the Johnny Mac Foundation in John’s honor.
