9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. James Greenleaf Memorial Fund 5-K River Run for the Fund – New London, CT

The annual James A. Greenleaf, Jr. Memorial 5-K River Run for the Fund will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9:00am until noon at Ocean Beach Park in New London, CT. Registration begins at 8:00am at the Nautilus Room. Please note the new, earlier start time.
Participants will run (or walk) on a beautiful course overlooking Long Island Sound and New London Harbor. The flat, paved course has been professionally measured and is a certified 5-K. T-shirts will be provided to all pre-registered runners (please indicate the size you need on the online registration form). The infamous post-race raffle will immediately follow the race. Cheese, crackers, fruit/veggie platters and other refreshments will also be available after the run.
Online preregistration costs $25.00 until May 1, 2018 and $30.00 thereafter and on race day. Proceeds benefit the James A. Greenleaf, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund.

James A. Greenleaf, Jr., a native of Connecticut, was handsome, athletic, popular and intelligent. He was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working at Carr Futures in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. The scholarships in his name provide financial assistance to students attending St. Bernard’s High School as well as graduating seniors from Waterford High School, Fitch High School and New London High School towards their college tuitions.
