Groundbreaking ceremony for EMS 9/11 Memorial – Keansburg, NJ

The EMS Council of New Jersey and Keansburg Borough will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the EMS 9/11 Memorial, which will be built in Keansburg, NJ. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 1:00pm
The memorial will be first in the U.S. dedicated solely to those emergency medical personnel who responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Sited on Raritan Bay, the memorial site features a view of Lower Manhattan and beautiful coastline.
The memorial itself will consist of steel from the World Trade Center facing the site of the towers and is scheduled for completion by the fall of 2018.
