Wake for NYPD Detective John Martinez

NYPD Detective John Martinez was killed in a car accident on his way home from a wedding reception this weekend. He was 39 and a 17-year veteran of the force. His work included serving at the World Trade Center during the recovery operation after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The wake for Detective Martinez will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the St. James Funeral Home in St. James, NY.
His funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May, 25, 2018, at 10:30am at St. Patrick’s Church in Smithtown, NY.
