9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Funeral for retired NYPD Sergeant Thomas J. Fennessy

Retired NYPD Sgt. Thomas J. Fennessy, 64, has died of World Trade Center-related glioblastoma.
His career with the NYPD began in 1982 and ended with his retirement in 2002. He spent weeks at the site after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
He was diagnosed with brain cancer in late 2017.
Sgt. Fennessy’s funeral Mass will be said at 9:45am on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in Saint Raphael’s Church in East Meadow.
Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
