9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired NYPD Detective Richard E. Riegel

Retired NYPD Detective Richard E. Riegel, 62, died on November 26, 2021 of World Trade Center-related pancreatic and liver cancer.
Detective Riegel served with the NYPD for more than 30 years and was also an intelligence officer with the United States Naval Reserve.
Detective Riegel’s funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:15am at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, NY.
Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
