9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired NYPD Detective Jeffrey Montenegro

Retired NYPD Detective Jeffrey Montenegro died of World Trade Center-related cancer on December 3, 2021. He retired from the NYPD in 2014 after 20 years. He was 53. His sister Lillian is also with the NYPD.
Detective Montenegro’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Claire of Assisi Church in the Bronx on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00am.
A private burial will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.
