9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired NYPD Detective Gerard (Gerry) Ahearn has died of World Trade Center-related colon cancer. He worked in the DEA Intelligence Division and retired out of the 71 Squad in 2008.
His funeral Mass will be said on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 9:45am at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church in Holbrook, NY.
