9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired NYPD Detective Charles W. Mackie, Sr. – North Augusta, SC

Retired NYPD Detective Charles W. Mackie, Sr., died of World Trade Center-related illness on February 4, 2021 in his home in South Carolina. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. He retired from the NYPD in 2003.
Funeral services for Detective Mackie will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in North Augusta, SC. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
