Funeral for retired FDNY Firefighter Thomas K. Kontizas, E-312

Retired FDNY Firefighter Thomas K. Kontizas, formerly of Engine 312, died on June 9, 2018 of World Trade Center-related acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
He served 22 years in the FDNY and retired just before the terrorist attacks of 9/11. He responded nevertheless and served at the site during the recovery operation.
His funeral Mass for family and friends will be held at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Milford, PA on Monday June 25, 2018 at 11:00am.
The Thomas K. Kontizas Memorial Fund has been established at the Greater Pike Community Foundation for those wishing to contribute in Tom’s honor. The Fund will support a variety of causes in Pike County that were important to Tom. Please make checks payable to “Greater Pike Foundation: Kontizas Fund” and mail to Greater Pike Community Foundation, P.O. Box 992, Milford, PA, 18337.
