9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired FDNY Firefighter Richard A. Evers, R-2

Retired FDNY Firefighter Richard A. Evers died on May 10, 2022 at the age of 75. Richy worked for Rescue 2, and responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 despite having just had neck surgery. His widow Denise, was an ER nurse who worked on the day of the attacks.
Richy’s funeral will be at 10:00am on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church of Staten Island, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
