9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for NYPD Officer Patrick McGovern, 49th Precinct

NYPD Officer Patrick McGovern of the 49th Precinct and Bronx Zoo detail has died of World Trade Center-related cancer at the age of 43. In addition to responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, he spent three months working at the site of the World Trade Center during the recovery effort.
Officer McGovern’s funeral Mass will be said at Pearl River’s St. Margaret’s Church at 9:45am on Monday, May 6, 2019.
Burial will follow in Ascension Cemetery.
