9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Nassau County Detective Erick Contreras

Detective Erick Contreras of the Nassau County Police has died of cancer. He joined the Nassau Police in 1994. He worked at the site of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
His viewing will take place from 9:00am to 10:30am on Saturday, February 23, 2021 at the First Baptist Cathedral of Westbury with a police service following from 10:30am to 11:00am, and his funeral from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
Prospect Avenue will be closed in both directions from Grand Street to Rushmore Street from 8:30am to 1:00pm on that day.
