9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Lt. Robert George Alford, FDNY (ret.)

Retired Lieutenant Robert George Alford of FDNY’s Engine 231 died on March 22, 2016.. Lt. Alford responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11.
His funeral will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:30am at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Islip Terrace.
Interment to follow at Good Ground Cemetery Association, Hampton Bays, LI.
