9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Joseph James Martin, NYPD

Joseph James Martin died on June 5, 2016, while vacationing abroad.
Martin had a 21-year career with the NYPD, most of it spent in the 1st Precinct. He worked the recovery effort at the World Trade Center and responded to the attacks.
His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Staten Island’s St. Christopher’s Church at 10:00am on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00am. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the NYCPBA Widows and Orphans Fund.
