Funeral for FDNY Firefighter Joseph A. Ferrugia, E-285/L-142

FDNY Firefighter Joseph A. Ferrugia has died of COVID-19. He is the first active-duty FDNY firefighter to die of the coronavirus – EMS workers, mechanics, and administrative FDNY personnel have died of the virus, as have retired firefighters.
His funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:30am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Massapequa.
As a reminder, masks and social distancing are required at both wake and funeral.
