9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Captain Tommy Thompson, FDNY

Captain Tommy Thompson has died of World Trade Center-related cancer at the age of 70. He served with Engine 306 and Engine 298 and worked the recovery at the site of the terrorist attacks.
His funeral Mass will be said at 10:00am on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Bayside.
