9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fundraising Run to support the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation
March 4, 2021 - March 6, 2021
Retired FDNY FF Jeff Cool’s oldest son, Jeff, Jr., will run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours in Joey’s name from March 4, 2021 until March 6, 2021.
Joseph DiBernardo jumped with Jeff from a burning building on Black Sunday, January 23, 2005. Both were gravely injured, along with several others. Two other FDNY officers, Lt. John Bellew and Lt. Curtis Meyron, were killed. Joseph died of his injuries years later.
